Wickenburg Train Depot, is were your tour begins.

This Historic Train Depot located at 416 Frontier Street in Wickenburg Arizona sets the stage.  Meet Hassayampa Heather just outside the depot (Chamber of Commerce) to begin your adventure. 


The Great Train

The railroad played a critical part in Wickenburg history.  On display is this wonderful steam engine and caboose.  Make sure your bring your cameras.


The Legendary "Captain Canada"

Captain Canada appeared in Wickenburg in 1984.  Who is he?  You will just have to wait to find out.


Vernetta Hotel

The ghost of Elizabeth Hudson Smith still resides here in the Old Vernetta Hotel now called the Hassayampa Building.  Maybe you can see her too, peering out her bedroom window.


The Gold Nugget

The tour takes you into one of the most haunted buildings in Wickenburg.  Come see what awaits you here in the Gold Nugget.  Come back later and dine with the spirits in this fine restaurant. The cafe is shown below as well as the famous rose room.


The Legend of Butchers Block

Many legends come from the people we meet but the Legend of Butchers Block comes directly from the horses mouth.  The legend of Butchers Block will have you listening on the wind for the sound of cowboys.  If your lucky maybe the wind will be blowing in from the North.

If your looking for gold, this story just might lead you in the right direction and if this one doesn't, than maybe you might go looking for the phantom coach down rattlesnake wash.


Jail Tree

Visit this Mesquite Tree that is over 200 years old.  For many years, it was used as the Hooskow (Jail).  Criminals were chained to the tree and it is said that no one ever escaped.  However, there may be more to the story.
